7/6/2026 New Jersey Service Outages Update:

7/6/2026 6:40PM - Our crews continue to make repairs to damaged fiber feeding homes and businesses. JCP&L crews are on site at the four areas of major backhaul fiber damage in Sussex, Morris, and Warren Counties. We are hopeful that they will finish repairs by morning. We will be able to begin our repairs as soon as JCP&L finishes their repairs. We need to work on Greendell Rd/Hamilton Rd in Green Township/Frelinghuysen, Silver Lake Rd in Blairstown, Sherman Ridge Rd in Wantage, and Ridge Rd in Oakland/Jefferson, and we have some additional burned fiber in Cranberry Lake in Byram. Currently 847 customers are down due to power outages or mainline fiber damage or customer service drops ripped off houses by falling trees/limbs. We continue to restore services. Thank you for your patience.

7/6/2026 11:45AM: We are still waiting on power repairs in many areas, but our crews are out in force fixing individual customer connections where the cables have been damaged by falling trees and branches. Our teams continue to help customers get back online everywhere possible. We are down to less than 1,000 customers offline at the moment. As power continues to be restored and customers have power to their equipment and as we are able to safely access damaged fiber to facilitate repairs, this number will continue to drop. Over 96% of all Planet customers are working properly as of Monday morning. Thanks for your patience.

7/5/2026 2:54PM: Our crews continue to work restoring service. We are still waiting for the power company to fix the power lines first before we can work on many areas. We still have 1264 customers down at the moment. Service has been restored to 75% of customers who had outages. We want to thank our amazing team, who have been hard at work since Friday evening's storm. Current service outages are highly correlated with known power outages, due to no power at the home or a problem in the area due to damaged infrastructure.

7/4/2026 1:02PM - Service has been restored to about 800 more customers. (Some others lost service between update posts.) Approximately 2,200 are still without service. We are primarily waiting on power to be fixed so it is safe for our crews to work. Until power is fixed, we can't do any work. Our crews are actively monitoring the various areas and will begin work as soon as poles are replaced, high voltage power is restored, and electrical lines are no longer draped over our fiber. Happy Independence Day!

7/4/2026 9:56AM - Service has been restored to over 1,000 customers. Our teams continue to work to restore service to all customers as quickly as possible.

7/3/2026 Friday night's storm hit northern New Jersey hard, with winds over 60 mph bringing down trees, power lines, and fiber lines across our service area. In multiple locations, downed power lines have caught trees and fiber on fire.

We currently have over 3,700 customers offline, and we know exactly where the damage is.

Our crews will be working to restore service until every customer is back online. However, we cannot begin repairs until the power company de-energizes and repairs its lines, making each area safe. While live power lines are down, it is not safe for our team to work, period.

We're sorry for the disruption. This was a fast, violent storm, and restoring service safely is our top priority. We'll post updates as restoration progresses.

Thank you for your patience. Stay safe, and stay clear of any downed lines.

All other Planet systems are operational.
